Today's Featured Comic - STAR Q'S by ALAN GILBERT

Bond. James Bond. (Not)
"We here at Star Q's recognize and respect that most actors and actresses prefer not to be typecast. They prefer to be recognized for the variety of their work; Therefore,  nary a word about a legendary British spy this week.

Instead we will focus on Mister Connery's long and legendary career on the stage performing  such plays as Hamlet,  Look Back in Anger and Loot.  We shall also thoroughly examine his many years as a member of the House of Commons, and later as Prime Minister.

We will not,  as so many have, limit this celebration of Sean Connery to one simple role in seven motion pictures.

And now may I invite you to vote for your favorite Bond girl of all time!"       -The Star Q's Crew

      ------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, here it is.  The first James Bond movie, Dr. No and the first
time the most classic introduction of a cinematic character of all time was used.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Although American audiences came to know Sean Connery in his iconic role as James Bond, Connery was also extremely active in British politics.

As has been noted earlier, as his movie career began to wind down, Connery was elected as Prime Minister of England.

In this rare photo, we see a young Connery already engaging with a few other chaps concerning the status of world-wide politics and international events.

NOTE: In the photo, Connery is seen smoking a cigar.  -Later, he favored cigarettes and vodka martinis, shaken not stirred.
